JD Vance leads desperate all night scramble for Iran peace deal as Trump sets deadline and warns: ‘I’ll blow up everything’

JD Vance led a frantic last-minute push to secure a peace deal with Iranian leaders on Sunday night after Donald Trump threatened to rain down ‘hell’ on Tehran ahead of a looming deadline.
According to Reuters, late-night talks produced a peace plan brokered by Pakistan that called for an immediate ceasefire, followed by further talks within a 15- to 20-day window.
Trump threatened to blow up everything in Iran, including civilian infrastructure, if the Islamic regime does not reach a deal by 8pm on Tuesday.
But the negotiated plan is unlikely to immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz and has not yet received the President’s approval, according to a White House official.
Pakistani army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir coordinated the proposed peace plan through secret channel talks with Vance and Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi also represented Tehran’s interests.
The President will address the public from the White House over the weekend about the rescue of an F-15 weapons officer in the mountains of Iran.
Trump’s deadline on Tuesday sparked a cautious swing in early trading; Oil prices have fallen slightly but are still well above $100 per barrel. The national average for gasoline has risen by over a dollar since the beginning of the conflict to about $4.10 per gallon.
