AP’s Capital is Amaravati: Naidu

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday announced that Amaravati is the capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
He said this in his post on ‘X’ with a newspaper advertisement published by the Ministry of Law and Justice. In another post, he said: “On behalf of my people in Andhra Pradesh, I express my deep gratitude to President Droupadi Murmu Ji for his graciously assent to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which has realized the long-cherished dream of our capital city.”
“I thank the Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for its commitment and guidance to our state, all the MPs who supported the Bill, our state leaders and every citizen who stood with us. This is a victory for my people in Andhra Pradesh, especially my farmers in Amaravati,” he added.
