As a businesswoman, Emma Grede, co-founder of Kim Kardashian’s Skims and CEO and co-founder of Khloé Kardashian’s Good American, aims to “dispel the lies sold to women” about parenting and recommends that women spend no more than three hours a day with their children.
In an interview with Wall Street Magazine On Saturday, Grede previewed her book, “Start with Yourself: A New Vision for Work and Life,” which aims to give women a more focused perspective on motherhood.
“Women are exhausted and exhausted,” Grede said. “And letting yourself accept that every waking minute revolves around your children is not a way of life.”

Grede added that she does not engage in what she sees as “over-parenting” activities, such as reading school emails, and even suggested that some women are better suited to be “two-hour” mothers.

Ideally, Grede said, women should “come out and be honest” about their goals in their careers and family lives and be willing to stand firm even in the face of compromise.

In a comment to Fox News Digital, Inez Stepman, senior policy and legal analyst for the Independent Women’s Forum, pushed back against Grede’s comments and suggested that public policy should focus beyond the views of “wealthy contrarians.”
“Most women don’t worry about cutting star-shaped sandwiches for their children, but the majority of mothers in surveys really want to be there for their children’s early years, and the benefit of this is supported by extensive long-term research,” Stepman said. he said.
“Rather than catering to the preferences of the wealthy, public policy should make it possible for more women to do what they actually want to do—mother their own children in those critical years while maintaining workplace flexibility as they grow up,” Stepman continued.
Grede co-founded the clothing brand Good American in 2016. with Khloé Kardashian and sold more than $1 million worth of products on its opening day.
