Northampton emergency LIVE: Bomb squad rushes to scene as DHL warehouses evacuated | UK | News

Workers were evacuated from DHL facilities and multiple emergency services were on scene while the bomb squad stormed warehouses in Northampton. Workers at the scene said employees were evacuated mid-shift from DHL Supply Chain and DHL Express warehouses on Gowerton Road.

Pictures show a significant police presence and a single Northants Fire and Rescue crew at the Brackmills site near Chron. An eyewitness said the warehouse was closed by police just before 10am. Shortly after, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was seen arriving at the scene. A DHL employee said: Northampton Chronicle: “We have been evacuated, it is forbidden to return. We are waiting for the bomb squad.”
