Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, April 9, 2026, criticized the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal for alleged mismanagement and appealed to voters to oust the Trinamool Congress (TMC) from power in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Addressing a meeting in Opposition Leader Suvendu Adhikari’s backyard Haldia, the Chief Minister alleged that the ruling dispensation in the state had “pulled Bengal” and promised six guarantees to the people once the BJP won the elections.
