The actresses, who made a name for themselves in the TV youth series, promoted their third series from different ends of the red carpet in Los Angeles, fueling speculation that there was no agreement between them.
Hollywood’s darling, 29-year-old Zendaya, who dominated the big screen this year with The Drama and the upcoming Dune: Part Three, posed alone in a black halter-neck Ashi Studio dress.
Although her rumored wedding partner, Spider-Man star Tom Holland, wasn’t there, she certainly wasn’t forgotten as the tattoo she got dedicated to him (a ‘t’ on her left side) was on full display.
The actress, who plays drug addict Rue in the HBO series, is said to have distanced herself from Ms Sweeney because she is a supporter of Donald Trump.
While Zendaya went on to watch the first few episodes of the series at the TCL Chinese Theater IMAX theater, she wasn’t seen walking in with any of her castmates.
In stark contrast, Ms. Sweeney, 28, wore a flowing white Pierre Cardin minidress and hugged co-stars Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie and Hunter Schafer.
The actress, who plays chaotic Cassie, sat in a central seat in the auditorium next to her boyfriend, music producer Scooter Braun, and kissed him in full view of the audience.
