The Artemis 2 NASA mission is currently continuing its journey home after four astronauts traveled further from Earth and into the dark side of the Moon than any human in history.
The crew is preparing to land in the ocean near San Diego on Friday evening at 5:07 PM PST.
Queen guitarist Sir Brian May, who has a doctorate in astrophysics, is excitedly following the journey to the Moon for the first time in 50 years.

The 1981 UK No.1 single was penned by Queen and David Bowie, who shared vocals with Freddie Mercury.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Sir Brian wrote: “Happy to wake up the heroes in their spaceships about to complete their amazing journey around the moon!! Happy Landings everyone! You’re amazing!!! Bri.” Meanwhile, Queen drummer Roger Taylor shared on his Instagram stories: “It’s incredible what you’re doing! I’m honored to be a part of your awakening.”
