Kerala elections: Congress office vandalised in Kannur; party alleges CPI(M) role amid tensions after poll-day stabbing

The Congress election committee office at Mayyil in Kerala’s Kannur was allegedly vandalized in the early hours of Friday, amid rising political tension following the stabbing incident on the party’s election day, over the alleged involvement of CPI(M) workers.
The office in Mayyil town was found damaged, with its front window broken and its door broken. Furniture, including chairs and cabinets as well as photographs of party leaders, were destroyed by attackers who broke in and looted the building.
