‘Iran Changed The Course Of World History’ : Former Diplomats

Hyderabad: Najeeb Jung, former lieutenant governor of Delhi and former Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, observed that the US and Israel tried to turn the situation into a Shia-Sunni conflict by starting the Iran war, but failed to do so. He said that the ‘brutality’ shown by the USA and Israel represents one of the darkest pages in human history.
Delivering the keynote speech at a national seminar on ‘Iran’s role in redefining international geopolitics’ held at Telangana Media Academy on Saturday, former IAS officer Jung said that for the last 40 days, Iran has witnessed scenes reminiscent of ‘Karbala’ (historical tragic war) every day.
Emphasizing that thousands of people were killed and even hospitals were targeted, Jung noted that important civilian infrastructure was protected during the bombings in Iran’s major cities. He added that the US and its allies are trying to erase an ancient civilization with a history of thousands of years. By displaying extraordinary patriotism and patriotism, Iranians have set an example that contemporary historians and chroniclers will write in golden letters.
Former ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Yemen, Dr. Ausaf Sayeed hoped that the ongoing peace talks in Islamabad would yield positive results. He pointed out that a new world order has emerged that is in conflict. Sayeed, a former IFS officer, emphasized that although the conflict involves Iran, Israel and the US, its effects are felt globally in all sectors of life.
Iranian Consul General Hamid Ahmadiya expressed his gratitude to the people of India for showing solidarity with Iran in these sensitive times. He stated that Iran is using its power within the framework of international law. He said that he accepted the martyrdom of Religious Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but he never bowed down in front of the oppressors, and that the current spiritual leader Mojtaba Khamenei has the same spirit.
