Christian Pulisic’s breakup gets messy with dating profile allegations

Football star Christian Pulisic and his girlfriend, golfer Alexa Melton, have split and the breakup looks pretty ugly.
Late last year, the star forward who is captain of the U.S. Men’s National Team was forced to shut down rumors that he was dating Sydney Sweeney, but it looks like not everything can be fixed.
In fact, Melton appeared to imply that Pulisic wasn’t exactly loyal before backtracking on the claim.

“Mans was on Raya before it was even over,” Melton said in an Instagram comment. New York Post. Raya is a subscription-based celebrity dating app.
“How many people like Raya’s profile?” Melton wrote in another comment, the publication noted. he said.
But Melton appeared to backtrack a bit.
“I made some comments on a private matter and that comment was taken out of context. I was misinformed. He is not a scammer. Any stories beyond that are not mine,” Melton said in a recent Instagram Story. “Out of respect for Christian’s and my privacy, I will not speak further about this matter.”

Pulisic had been dating Melton since at least the summer of 2024. Melton played college golf at USC and competed in the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open. She has competed mostly in the women’s Epson Tour but has not competed since 2024.
Meanwhile, Sweeney has been linked to music manager Scooter Braun, who has worked with Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.
Pulisic will wear the Stars and Stripes jersey at the 2026 World Cup, which will be played in North America this summer. The final will take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, home of the New York Giants and Jets.
It will be Pulisic’s second match in the World Cup, having played in Qatar in 2022. This team advanced to the knockout stages but were eliminated by the Netherlands, who lost to champions Argentina in the round of 16.

The USA is top seed in this summer group, joining Australia (26th), Paraguay (39th) and a team to be determined in the playoffs.
USA will open the tournament on June 12 Los Angeles Paraguay match on FOX.
