Karimnagar, Warangal Show Steady Growth in Intermediate Results

Karimnagar/Warangal: Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on Sunday announced the academic year 2025-26 results for Karimnagar and Warangal districts, revealing a positive trend in pass percentage.
Karimnagar district has shown a consistent upward trend in the last five years. In the latest results for 2025-26, the region achieved an impressive overall pass percentage of 80.04 per cent, a significant jump from 70 per cent in 2021-22.
A total of 14,943 students participated in the exams in the district and 11,961 passed successfully.
Continuing a long-standing trend, the girls outperformed the boys, achieving a pass percentage of 85.94 percent, while the boys’ rate was 74.28 percent. This year’s performance marks the region’s best performance in the last half-decade.
Warangal district also reported a healthy improvement in academic performance. After a dip following the 2020-21 pandemic year when all students were promoted, the district’s pass percentage rose steadily from 58 percent in 2021-22 to 61 percent in the 2025-26 academic session.
While the total number of students appearing fell gradually from 7,242 to 4,678 over five years, the quality of results improved by three per cent over this period.
After the results were declared at 11 am, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar congratulated those who achieved high scores and progressed towards their next academic goals. He focused a significant portion of his message on students who were not meeting his expectations.
“Do not be discouraged if the grades are not up to your expectations,” the minister said in a social media post. “This is just a turning point in your journey, not the final destination. Your future does not depend on a single outcome, but on how you choose to move forward from here,” he added.
