Chelsea 0-3 Man City: Pep Guardiola’s side looking ominous in title race

Carrot dangled in front of him Manchester City – how would they react? ArsenalSaturday’s shock loss?
That question was definitively answered by Pep Guardiola’s men on Sunday; They beat Chelsea 3-0 to end the Premier League title race once and for all.
While Arsenal falter, City are strengthening and the signs look ominous for the red side of North London after moving to within six points of the leaders with a game in hand.
City’s chants could be heard as far west as London; The enthusiastic celebration of Guardiola, his players and the traveling fans showed how important a victory this was.
Arsenal have a Champions League tie to contend with on Wednesday, but City’s attention will now turn entirely to next Sunday’s clash with Mikel Arteta in the hopeful prospect of reducing the deficit further.
City have found form in the last three games; Arsenal kept nine clean sheets against Liverpool and Chelsea, won the Carabao Cup and reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup this term.
“We performed well in three matches, but the best team in England is Arsenal and the best team in Europe is Arsenal,” Guardiola said.
“The numbers are there with the same consistency. We will prepare well this week.
“We will adapt for the Carabao Cup final and adapt to what we need to do for our people to perform well. What defines teams is how you play.”
