Trump posts ‘unhinged’ image of himself as Jesus Christ | US | News

US President Donald Trump posted a strange photo of himself depicted as Jesus Christ and it quickly went viral on social media.

Dubbed “mindless”, the image drew ridicule from social media users, with one captioned: “The whole world has gone completely crazy.”

Another said: “Looks like he’s curing Jeffrey Epstein.”

The footage was released just hours after Trump launched an extraordinary tirade against Pope Leo, head of the Catholic Church.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump referred to Pope Leo as “Weak on Crime and Terrible on Foreign Policy.”

Trump condemned the Pope’s alleged stance against immigration and the war in Iran, namely the Covid epidemic of 2020, claiming that priests were arrested for church services.

Trump made a personal attack on Pope Leo and said, “I like his brother Louis much more.”

The post reads: “I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s okay for Iran to have Nuclear Weapons. I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America is attacking Venezuela, which is sending massive amounts of drugs to the United States and worse, emptying its prisons into our Country, including murderers, drug dealers, and murderers.”

“And I don’t want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I’m doing exactly what I was elected to do, during a landslide…

Trump lashed out at Pope Leo, demanding that the first US-born pope “get his act together” and accusing him of pandering to the radical left.

“Leo should act as Pope, use Common Sense, stop serving the Radical Left, and focus on being the Great Pope, not the Politician,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The attack came after Pope Leo held a peace vigil in St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican on Saturday, directly calling on world leaders to stop fighting and return to the negotiating table.

He said to those gathered at the evening service, “Enough of worshiping yourself and money! Enough of show of power! Enough of war! Real power is shown when serving life.”
