Congress MP Hits Back at KTR, Calls Allegations False Propaganda

Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy hit back by accusing incumbent President of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) KT Rama Rao of spreading “false propaganda” against the ruling Congress government in Telangana.

Responding to KTR’s criticism on the Congress government’s performance, Reddy said, “KTR is trying to spread false propaganda in Telangana state. He is saying that the Congress has done nothing in the last two and a half years, as if the nine-year BRS rule has done everything for Telangana and Hyderabad.”

It was the Congress that brought about this development in Hyderabad and Telangana. He asserted that the Congress played a fundamental role in the development of both Hyderabad and the state.

Highlighting KTR’s claims on governance, Reddy said, “Congress has brought about development in Hyderabad and Telangana. Congress has provided a positive thought process to the state with a surplus budget of Rs 16 lakh.”

He compared it to the BRS regime, alleging financial mismanagement. “In nine years of BRS rule, they have put the State in debt of 8 lakh crore rupees,” he told ANI. Striking out a harsh criticism of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Reddy said: “The only benefit the state got in the last nine years under their regime was that KCR had a very good farmhouse.

He thinks the public is stupid. You are sleepless because you have lost your power.” He also accused BRS leaders of trying to exploit state resources and said, “You want to plunder the stalled Telangana for generations. That’s why you get disappointed.

“Earlier, KTR had alleged widespread corruption under the Congress government, alleging that a “loot-hide scheme” was being carried out across Telangana and accusing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of presiding over financial irregularities.
