Polls to seven municipal bodies in Haryana to be held on May 10, counting on May 13

By-elections were held to six wards of different municipal bodies, besides elections to three municipal corporations, one municipal council and three municipal committees of Ambala, Panchkula and Sonipat. haryana The State Election Commission announced on Monday, April 13, 2026 that the election will be held on May 10.
While announcing the detailed schedule of the elections to civic bodies, State Election Commissioner Devinder Singh Kalyan, at a press conference in Panchkula, said that the counting of votes will begin on May 13.
Besides Mayors and ward members of the three Municipal Corporations, elections will also be held for Rewari municipal council and chairmen and ward members of municipal committees of Dharuhera (Rewari), Sampla (Rohtak) and Uklana (Hisar). A total of 144 neighborhoods in these municipal bodies will go to the polls.
