Outrage from Trump’s closest allies begging him to show ‘humility’ after GOD image goes viral – and Iran’s top leader slams ‘insult’ to Pope Leo

Conservatives are voicing their anger after Donald Trump posted a photo depicting himself as Jesus Christ, sparking rifts among his evangelical base.

Trump posted an AI-generated image of himself as Jesus over the weekend, after scolding Pope Leo over the President’s critical comments about needing to be a ‘peacemaker’ during the Iran war.

In the photo, Trump, dressed in white with a red shawl, places his hands, shining with divine light, on a sick patient in a hospital bed, while a soldier, a nurse and others look on in awe.

There are some US motifs on the back, such as the Statue of Liberty and the American flag. Above it are things that look like angels. One of them looks like it has horns.

“I assume someone already told him, but whatever the intent, the President needs to delete the picture, both morally and politically,” conservative commentator Michael Knowles wrote.

Right-wing influencer Riley Gaines reacts: ‘Why? Seriously, I can’t understand why you posted this. Is he looking for an answer? Is he really thinking this? In either case, two things are true. 1) a little humility will do him great good 2) God will not be mocked.’

Trump’s mockery of the Pope caught the attention of Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian and further escalated the debate.

‘On behalf of the great nation of Iran, I condemn the insult to Your Excellency and declare that the disrespect shown to Jesus, the prophet of peace and brotherhood, is unacceptable to any free person. The Iranian official wrote: I wish you victory, God willing.

Conservative activist and commentator Riley Gaines, an ally of the Trump administration, harshly criticized the President for his post comparing himself to Jesus Christ.

Trump’s former ally and Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene went further, saying the post was “more than blasphemy” and that “this is the spirit of the Antichrist.”

The post comes just after Trump claimed Leo, 70, was elected Pope simply ‘because he’s an American’, adding: ‘If I wasn’t in the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican.’

Trump’s criticism of the Pope and his blasphemous comparison to Jesus came despite the Catholic and Christian beliefs of his closest advisors.

Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-Deremer, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Education Secretary Linda McMahon, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. are all Catholic.

Meanwhile, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, and White House Chief of Staff Susie WIles are either Evangelical or Protestant.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is also a devout Christian; He is often seen wearing a cross at press conferences and posting about the church or scriptures on social media.

The president’s feud with the Pope was sparked when Leo spoke about the war, pointing to the U.S. attack on Iran, without naming Trump or the United States.

After Trump repeatedly commented on the Pope’s apparent political stance, the President launched several attacks against the head of the Catholic Church.

Vice President J.D. Vance is a strong Catholic and has written a book about his faith that will be published later this year.

“Pope Leo is weak on crime, terrible on foreign policy,” Trump said on social media Sunday, adding: “I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s okay for Iran to have nuclear weapons.”

Although some of his supporters backed the President’s comments mocking the Pope for his involvement in politics, his self-published image comparing himself to Jesus was a bridge too far for some.

‘Trump’s first message was good. The Pope has a long documented political history. Follow-up posts? Conservative pundit Mike Cernovich reacted to the Trump-Jesus image by saying, “No other religion is tolerated.”

OutKick host Jon Root wrote: ‘This is blasphemy.’

‘Trump’s portrayal of himself as Jesus Christ coming down from the clouds, healing the sick, and praying to him with people is reprehensible. “If only the White House Office of Faith had a qualified leader rather than a heretic, this wouldn’t have happened, or at least it would have been publicized,” he continued.
