Take TD Ideology to the Grassroots, Lokesh Tells Cadre

Vijayawada:Education minister N. Lokesh on Tuesday urged Telugu Desam leaders and cadres to actively take the party’s ideology to the people and emphasized that strong principles are the basis of lasting political success.

Addressing the officers of the TD cluster at the “Coffee Kaburlu” session held within the scope of training programs at the party’s head office in Mangalagiri, Lokesh underlined the need for ideological clarity as well as organizational strength. Urging the leaders to follow their path, he said, “While NTR brought global recognition to the Telugu identity, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu also showed its strength to the world.”

Lokesh emphasized that highlighting the government’s welfare and development programs alone was insufficient. “The cadre must also explain the ideology behind these initiatives. Unity and discipline among workers are key to strengthening the party and building people’s trust.”

The minister urged party workers to devote dedicated time to organizational activities and ensure consistent participation at the grassroots level. He called for the six core principles of the party to be taken to every village to raise awareness and deepen the bond between the people.

Emphasizing the role of technology, Lokesh said that the “My TDP” mobile application will act as a bridge between the leadership and the staff. He instructed the workers to upload their activities regularly and added that the performance was monitored by the party leadership. He also asked the cadre to identify local problems, coordinate with authorities for solutions, and effectively communicate government initiatives to the public to ensure sincere efforts will be appreciated.

Launching a scathing attack on the opposition, Lokesh appealed to the cadre to oppose “fake propaganda” with unity and determination. He said that on governance, the state government has made great achievements, including legal support to Amaravati, preservation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and mobilization of private funds.

He advised the leaders to maintain harmony with alliance partners, resolve differences amicably like members of a family.
