Jon Stewart spots uncanny resemblance in Trump’s now-deleted AI ‘Jesus’ meme

Jon Stewart noticed something remarkable about the AI-generated image Donald Trump shared of himself looking like Jesus on the Daily Show this week.
The photo, which has since been deleted from social media, shows Trump holding his glowing hand over an older man in bed.
Stewart admitted that the image of the sick man being healed was a real ringer for him.
‘My god. ‘Wait, the guy in the bed… I wonder…’ Stewart said, pausing his broadcast on Monday just for comparison.
‘Am I okay?’ He joked after studying and squinting for a few seconds. The comedian jokingly craned his neck to get a better look.
Once satisfied, or sufficiently horrified, Stewart, 63, quickly let out a shout-out. ‘What the fuck.’
The comic went on to admit that he is indeed getting older and may lack the ‘strength and courage’ of his ‘MTV days’.
“But I didn’t know we were already here,” Stewart said, acknowledging that artificial intelligence had created the human plight.
‘It seems like it was touch and go for a while. “Thank God I was surrounded by family in my time of need,” Stewart joked. He expressed relief that “Jesus-Trump brought the healing orb” for the AI-created event.
Jon Stewart stopped Monday’s Daily Show to examine a specific aspect of the AI-generated image that Donald Trump posted and deleted on Sunday
79-year-old Trump said the post he deleted was intended to portray himself as a doctor
Stewart also joked, “I didn’t realize my appearance had reached leprosy territory.”
Another staple of AI art, ‘Trump-Jesus’, as Stewart puts it, is seen healing the other man in the image, with orbs of light coming out of his hands.
This post was posted by the President late Sunday night before it was quickly deleted.
Still, the post was met with immediate pushback. Trump told critics on both sides of the aisle that this meant he wanted to portray himself ‘as a doctor.’
He admitted to posting the post on Monday but did not specify why it was deleted.
Stewart’s speech was preceded by a summary of Trump’s ongoing criticism of Catholic Church leader Pope Leo XIV.
The comic recalled that Trump said Sunday that he found the religious leader too liberal and “weak on crime” for the position.
“I’m really starting to dislike this president,” Stewart joked. He then made a joke that shook the administration’s handling of the so-called ‘Epstein files’.
But Stewart was more interested in the other AI-generated man in the image; He acknowledged that it was a de facto copy of himself.
‘Is that you as a doctor? Why don’t you have it, you big bag of cats?” Stewart joked further, emphasizing Trump’s excuse.
‘Do you even care about lying to us anymore? Is it over? Has this relationship become stale?
“Your lies created a real spark,” he continued, quoting a series of remarks from Trump.
‘”They are eating cats and dogs”, “Venezuela stole the 2020 election.” And now the best you have is: “Oh, that wasn’t Jesus. I’m a doctor,” Stewart said.
‘You need to find your happy place, and fast. We expect better lies, sir.’
Christians, already uneasy about Trump’s promise to destroy Iran’s civilian infrastructure, were similarly skeptical of the president’s story.
The post comes weeks after Trump received backlash for an AI-generated video he posted in February depicting former first couple Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys. At the time, Trump blamed an employee for this task.
Stewart, meanwhile, has long criticized the conservative commander in chief. Stewart, on the other hand, claims to be an atheist.
