Military conflict cannot resolve problems: PM Modi on West Asia, Ukraine

He made the remarks after talks with Austria’s Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker here.
“The entire world is going through a very serious and tense situation today,” Prime Minister Modi said, adding that the impact of the tense situation in the world is felt by all of us.
The Prime Minister said India and Austria agreed that military conflict could not solve the problems.

“We support stable, sustainable and lasting peace in Ukraine and West Asia,” he said.
PM Modi also said that the Austrian Chancellor’s visit to India will bring new energy to trade and investment. He noted that following the historic India-EU free trade agreement, a new golden page has been opened in relations between India and the EU.
The Austrian Chancellor arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday on a four-day visit to promote bilateral cooperation in various fields. This is his first official trip to India.
