Obama Steps In to Fuel Trump’s Midterm Nightmare

Barack Obama has urged voters in Virginia to support plans that would allow the state to redraw its congressional map ahead of the midterm elections. In a video message shared with ABC News, the former president asked those in the Old Dominion to vote “yes” in an April 21 referendum on whether to approve a new redistricting plan that could give Democrats four more seats in the House after the November election. The plans in Virginia are a countermeasure to President Donald Trump’s proposed gerrymandering efforts to give the GOP additional seats in states like Texas and Florida.
