Responding positively to a rare endorsement from J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, leaders and legislators in the Valley have been participating in anti-drug rallies and awareness campaigns organized by the administration.
Mr. Sinha, who is in charge of security in J&K, has written official letters to legislators, civil society members and political party presidents to join them in fighting the drug menace.
“I am of the opinion that the success of this campaign depends on adopting a whole-of-government approach that brings together the entire institutional might of the UT administration under a unified, mission-oriented framework,” the LG’s letter circulated among legislators reads.
