Horror as man, 20s, stabbed in beer garden in quiet UK town | UK | News

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after being stabbed in a beer garden in a small English town. Emergency services rushed to the scene at 11.50pm on Saturday after reports of an injured man outside the White Horse on North Street in Sudbury.

The victim is believed to have been attacked in the beer garden of the Comfortable Cow on King Street shortly before the call was made. He was attacked and stabbed in the arm by two men with his face covered and carrying bladed weapons. They then chased him from the scene and turned directly onto King Street.

While ambulance teams took the injured person to the hospital, it was learned that his condition was stable.

The first suspect is stated to be at least 1.70 tall, of slim build, and was wearing a black Adidas-style hoodie and a woolen cap. The second suspect is described as being less than 5 feet tall, with a slim build, and wearing black woolen clothing.

Police are working on the belief that the attack was targeted and that the victim was known to the suspects. They have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage as part of their investigation.

Citing crime reference 37/22007/26, any witnesses or anyone with information or footage from the area at the time is asked to contact Suffolk Police.

Police said: “Police are appealing for information following the stabbing of a man in Sudbury. “Officers were called to the incident by the ambulance service at 11.50pm on Saturday, April 18, following reports of an injured man outside the White Horse pub on the town’s North Street.

“The man, aged in his 20s, was reported to have been attacked recently in the beer garden of the Rahat Cow pub on King Street.

“The victim, who had a single stab wound on his arm, was attacked by two people wearing masks and carrying bladed weapons.

“The victim fled the scene, then the suspects turned right from the bar and ran towards King Street. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance and remains there at this time. His condition is stated to be stable.”

“Officers are treating the attack as a targeted incident and believe the parties were known to each other. “Police are currently reviewing CCTV and carrying out further inquiries in the area.

“Anyone with relevant CCTV or doorbell camera footage, or who was driving with a dashcam in the area at the time, is asked to contact police.”
