Tochi Deli, Coburg – The Age Good Food app listing
Sparkling sushi served in a former parking lot.
Quincy Malesovas
Sushi shop Tochi Deli has reemerged eight months after closing its wildly popular Brunswick Mall kiosk. The new site, further north in Coburg, is also located within a shopping centre, but conveniently faces a car park, and the first three hours of parking are free.
The menu remains largely unchanged, but a larger kitchen means rotating signature dishes such as soy-braised kingfish collar over rice. Onigiri and hand rolls are reliable grab-and-go options; The main attraction is the daily raw fish selection, which starts at $25 as nigiri or chirashi bowls.
