‘Gripping’ Netflix thriller with near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score leaves viewers in tears with new series ending

The Netflix thriller, which has an impressive near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score, touched the audience with the ending of the last series.
The Law According to Lidia Poet, which was released in 2023, released its third and final series last week upon the great expectation of fans.
The crime thriller is set in the 19th century and follows Italy’s first qualified female lawyer, who is banned from practicing law because of her gender.
Based on a real-life historical figure, Lidia also faces misogyny while investigating the murders.
Matilda De Angelis, 30, plays Lidia and previously starred in The Undoing alongside Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.
The first series was released in February 2023 and received incredible attention, scoring 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

When the second outing was released in 2024, it received a still-impressive 91% score on the review aggregate site.
Last month, it was revealed that The Law According to Lidia Poet would end with its third series.
The story begins in 1887, when Lidia’s brother Enrico (Pier Luigi Pasino), now a member of parliament, campaigns for a law allowing his sister to work.
Writing online, one viewer wrote: ‘3. I loved the season! The production, acting and script are all first class.’
Another admitted that the final scene “made them cry,” while a third shared that they were “sad because it’s the last season.”
The fourth viewer who finished the show declared that they planned to ‘watch it again in a few months’.
For Paste MagazineTV writer Lacy Baugher Milas wrote: ‘Among the heroines, Lidia is the most delightful: smart, confident, funny and charmingly modern; She is a woman who knows what she wants and does not want to settle for less.
‘The highly engaging Lidia and De Angelis’ standout performance make the series so entertaining to watch that it’s impossible not to watch the familiar rhythms of this story play out in another language.’
Elsewhere, a Netflix crime thriller with a whopping 90% Rotten Tomatoes score was released, with fans praising it as “Northern noir done right” and “a spectacular viewing experience.”
Last month, it was revealed that The Law According to Lidia Poet would end with its third series.
Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole, based on Jo Nesbø’s novel The Devil’s Star, hit the streaming service on March 26.
The nine-episode series, originally in Norwegian, is a mysterious crime drama starring Tobias Santelmann, Joel Kinnaman, Pia Tjelta, Peter Stormare, Anders Baasmo Christiansen, Ellen Helinder and Simon J. Berger.
