Trump unleashes against Democrats over Iran war – ‘Straightening out this mess!’ | World | News

Donald Trump has launched a furious attack on Democrats over the Iran war, claiming he has to fix the mess that other Presidents have allowed. The US President accused Democrats on Monday evening on Truth Social of doing “everything possible to harm America’s position regarding Iran”.
Trump listed the lengths of several major conflicts, including World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Iraq War, before falsely accusing Democrats of promising to defeat Iran within six weeks. He argued that the operation was progressing “much faster” from a “military perspective”. He added: “I won’t let them force the US to make a Deal that isn’t as good as it could be. I’ve read Fake News saying I’m under ‘pressure’ to make a deal. THAT’S NOT TRUE! I’m not under any pressure, but it’ll all happen relatively quickly!”
Trump said time was not an issue and argued that previous presidents had failed to properly deal with Iran over the past 47 years because they lacked the courage to act.
He said the current operation was being conducted correctly and claimed Democrats were trying to downplay what he described as the success of the U.S. military and administration.
Trump added that the operation was carried out similar to Venezuela, but on a much larger and more complex scale.
He said: “This is being executed perfectly on the scale of Venezuela – it is just a bigger, more complex operation.
“The result will be the same. In my First Term, I built the Greatest Military our Country has ever seen, including the Space Force.
“In my Second Term, I am using our Military correctly and judiciously to solve problems left to us by others with far less understanding or competence. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
The New York Times recently reported that Iran may be prepared to make a major concession by allowing it to continue enriching uranium within 10 years.
It was also reported that Trump became angry with his generals during discussions about the conflict.
Trump allegedly “yelled at his aides for hours” after the downing of an American jet earlier this month, according to a new report published by the Wall Street Journal.
“Aides kept the president out of the room while they received minute-by-minute updates because they believed his impatience would not be helpful,” an official told the US newspaper.
Trump had said in a previous post that the deal his administration is trying to achieve with Iran would be much stronger than the nuclear deal reached in 2015 under Barack Obama, which he called a “guaranteed path to a nuclear weapon.”
The previous agreement was signed by President Obama and prohibited Iran from enriching uranium above civilian levels for 15 years.
The next stage of peace talks appeared uncertain after Iran said it had “no plans” for a new round of talks.
A senior Iranian official told the Reuters news agency that Tehran was “positively reviewing” its possible participation in the talks, but stressed that no final decision had been made.
