An Alabama woman, her pregnant teenage daughter and her 12-year-old son were found brutally murdered in their home, authorities said.
Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch said deputies responded to a home in Wilmer just after 2:30 a.m. where they found three bodies in separate rooms with their hands tied behind their backs.
The victims were identified as Lisa Gail Fields, 46, who was stabbed; Keziah Arionna Luker, 17, who was shot; and 12-year-old Thomas Cordelle Jr., who had his throat slit and was nearly decapitated.
“It was a wild scene,” Burch said. “If you have a fight with an adult… there is nothing worth killing other than brutally murdering two children… I hope we can get this animal or animals off the streets soon and I can feel at ease.”

An 18-month-old child was found unharmed in the home.
“We do not suspect any domestic or family-type situation at this point,” Burch told reporters. he said.
Burch stated that the house was “left in disarray” and suggested that the perpetrators may have been looking for something. Investigators believe more than one person was involved in the murders due to the victims being subdued.

The sheriff added that Luker was seven or eight months pregnant.
“The mother was stabbed, the 17-year-old was shot, and the 12-year-old had his throat slit, as did his mother,” Burch said. “He tells me they have plans to bring zip ties or elastic cuffs with them, so they have a plan.”
The sheriff said the expectant father, who works offshore, triggered the discovery after becoming concerned when he couldn’t reach Luker after seeing his cell phone activated on Life 360. When another family member went to check on him, he found all three victims in separate rooms with their hands tied behind their backs.
The Mobile County District Attorney’s Office will determine whether the death of Luker’s unborn child will warrant an additional murder charge once the suspect is arrested.

Investigators currently have “positive leads” in the case, Burch said.
Luker’s father told WALA-TV that his daughter had just received her GED.
“This is a senseless murder,” he said. “He was a bubble of sunshine. A person who made you smile; a person who would make you laugh when you were down. He empathized with everyone. He loved his siblings, he loved his mother, he loved all of us.”
