According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Cher filed for a temporary guardianship for her son, claiming his life has “significantly deteriorated” since the prior request was filed in 2023.
“I Got You Babe” singer Elijah Blue claimed that Allman “has no concept of money” and spends almost all of it on “drugs, expensive hotels, and limousine transportation.”
Allman is currently in custody at a “psychiatric hospital” in New Hampshire on multiple charges stemming from arrests in February and March.
The request to place her son under guardianship was the second attempt to obtain a court decision in three years.

Cher acknowledged that Elijah was entitled to regular distributions from a trust but expressed concerns that his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues prevented his son from making reasonable decisions.
“After receiving the trust distribution, he checked into a hotel, usually the Chateau Marmont, purchased and used drugs until he ran out of money, was hospitalized, or overdosed,” the documents said.
“According to this pattern, if Elijah is going to receive the trust distribution, he will use it [to] buy drugs.”
Cher argued that Elijah admitted to failing to manage his finances responsibly in order to avoid the proposed conservatorship in 2023, and claimed that he hired a business manager as well as relying on his wife “to help him heal and heal.”

“The proposed conservative not only failed to hire a business manager, but, as detailed below, lived wildly beyond his means and continued to attend expensive hotels he could not afford,” he wrote.
“Frankly, these issues are just the tip of the iceberg.”
Allman’s estranged wife, Marieangela King, “is not a viable option for support” and will only reappear for the case if it is “financially advantageous” for him, the documents state.

King is now Allman’s “major creditor” after the court awarded Allman monthly spousal support of $6,500 retroactive to July 1, 2025, in addition to the $10,000 legal bill.
Cher claimed that the only support her son received came from “his long-time friend Kayti Pease, who kept him alive in every way.”

However, the petition stated that Elijah “inflicted serious emotional and financial loss on Kayti.” “Without the financial support of Kayti and others, the proposed conservator would not have the money to pay for any of the major damage he has recently caused.”
A summer of “known problems” caused or encountered by Elijah last year included thousands of dollars in damage to 14 Airbnbs rented in Kayti’s name for her son.
“During his most recent stay at Airbnb, Elijah caused over $50,000 in damage, prompting Kayti to sue Airbnb,” according to the request. “Elijah was kicked out of a total of 18 hotels for harassing guests, making obscene remarks, and acting erratically.
“In summary, Elijah’s situation has become dire on many levels. His mental health has seriously deteriorated, his financial situation is dire, and his drug addiction is at its worst.”

Jason Rubin, as a professional trustee, petitioned to be appointed as Allman’s conservator. The documents showed that his driver’s license expired in January 2027 and that he had no contact with the proposed conservative, his family or friends before joining the lawsuit.
