Meghan savaged for ‘splashing’ Archie and Lilibet’s names on candles | Royal | News

The candles will be available for purchase starting at 9 a.m. California time on April 22. ‘Signature Candle No. 604’ Inspired by Lilibet’s birthday on June 4th. The second is ‘Signature Candle No.’ inspired by Archie’s birthday on May 6th. It bears the name ‘506’. Descriptions shown on the As Ever website read “Date of Birth of Prince Archie of Sussex” and “Date of Birth of Princess Lilibet of Sussex”.

It is stated that the Lilibet-inspired candle will add “a feeling of brightness and openness to the home”, while the Archie-inspired candle will bring a “soft, familiar comfort to the room”.

Taking to X, one fan commented that Meghan had previously expressed concerns about Archie and Lilibet’s safety, but now the brand is using their names and birthdates on its products.

Alongside a tearful clip of the couple talking about the safety of their children in the 2022 Netflix docu-series, they wrote: “As Harry awaits the outcome of his security case against the Home Office, Meghan Markle has taken to splattering their names on candles for a fee from looking after the safety of her ‘babies’.”

Another royal fan commented: “This chick doesn’t know when to give up, does she?”

A third added: “He must be getting desperate,” while a fourth added: “Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess.”

Archie and Lilibet stayed in the US during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent visit to Australia.

The criticism comes after the pair confirmed they would help produce a new polo-themed drama for Netflix.

Set in the town of Wellington, Florida, the new untitled project will follow two rival teams and the families that lead them.

The scripted series is its latest offering under a first-look Netflix deal that gives the streaming giant first option on projects from Sussex’s Archewell Productions.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes suggested further announcements would be made soon on the production front with Netflix and other streamers.

According to US outlet Deadline, the series will be written by Francisca X Hu, known for Dynasty, who will also serve as executive producer alongside the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
