Drug driver’s BMW flies over roundabout in 140mph pursuit | News

A 140mph pursuit ended with a drug driver’s BMW 3 Series blowing up at a junction in Yorkshire.

In July 2025, a member of the public reported a vehicle driving dangerously on Garrowby Hill.

Police tracked down the BMW and activated the blue lights. The driver was unable to stop during the pursuit, reaching speeds of 140 mph.

The driver then crashed into an intersection and became airborne, rolling over several times before coming to rest inside a fence.

Ashley Parr, 35, of Moorland Drive, Guiseley, Leeds, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, drug driving and drink driving. He was sentenced to 16 months behind bars at York Crown Court on Monday, April 20, and was given a driving ban for three years and eight months.
