Hindustan Power gets 100-MW solar project from Punjab government

Hindustan Power said on Thursday that it has received a project from the Punjab government to set up a 100-megawatt solar power project in the state.
In the statement made by the company, it was stated that the project was won through a tariff-based competitive tender process followed by a successful e-auction.
“Hindustan Power has secured a 100 MW AC (alternating current) solar power project from Punjab State Power Corporation Limited to be developed in Punjab,” he said.
Under the terms of the project, Hindustan Power will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, providing long-term visibility on revenues while supporting the supply of clean energy to the state.
The project is expected to be commissioned within 24 months from the date of entry into force of the PPA.

Through this project, we aim to contribute meaningfully to the state’s energy mix while further strengthening our operational footprint in the region.”
