In heartbreaking news from Collingwood, unlucky Reef McInnes injured his anterior cruciate ligament against the Bombers in the VFL today.
He was forced off the floor in the first quarter and scans later confirmed the injury.
“Reef’s injury is extremely disappointing news, particularly given the determination and hard work he has put in over the last 12 months to come back from a torn right anterior cruciate ligament,” Collingwood’s general manager of football, Charlie Gardiner, said.
“He has demonstrated outstanding character and tremendous resilience and positivity to return to the game. While this is undoubtedly a difficult setback, our entire program will be behind Reef every step of the way during his recovery.”
