Kancheepuram district sees over 87% polling

While four constituencies comprising Alandur, Uthiramerur, Sriperumbudur and Kancheepuram went to polls on Thursday, voting in Kancheepuram District was generally peaceful.

As of 18:00, 87.39% of the votes were cast in the district with 12,07,757 voters, meaning 10,22,414 voters marked their fingers to choose the right candidate. Alandur got 86.15%, Sriperumbudur 86.14%, Uthiramerur 90.64% and Kancheepuram 87.15%.
