Premier League relegation battle: Is it between West Ham and Spurs after Forest win?

Nottingham Forest will strike the first blow of the weekend on Friday, while Tottenham and West Ham will unusually play at the same time on Saturday.

The Hammers will host Everton and former manager David Moyes, while Spurs will visit already relegated Wolves.

Tottenham boss De Zerbi, who equalized in the last minute after drawing 2-2 with Brighton in their previous match, said “a win could change this part of the season”.

“We are suffering, they are suffering too because it is not easy to play at Tottenham with this situation, but I said they have to be stronger,” he added.

“We must live every moment of the day expecting and preparing for victory.”

Tottenham and West Ham have to contend with similar encounters, with Spurs arguably facing the slightly easier of the two. The average ranking of the teams they currently have to play is 11th, with the Hammers sitting in 10th.

What West Ham have that Tottenham don’t is some similarity of form.

Nuno’s side have won two of their last five games and lost just one. Spurs haven’t won since last year.

“The players are improving their level and standard,” Nuno said. “We were solid defensively, good offensively…sometimes not that good. Finding that balance will be very important for us in the remaining games.”
