Home Ministry-level talks with Ladakh’s LAB, KDA to resume on May 22

Breaking the impasse over the much-awaited talks between Ladakh and the Centre, Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Sunday, April 26, 2026, announced that Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) level talks with non-governmental organizations Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) will resume on May 22. The announcement came days before Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech. Two day visit to Ladakh.
“I am pleased to announce that the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has decided to convene a meeting of the political dialogue sub-committee on May 22,” said LG Saxena.
