Harrowing moment gun-wielding shooter Cole Tomas Allen stormed past security at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Chilling security camera footage shows the moment gunman Cole Tomas Allen walked past security at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
In the video published by President Donald Trump on Truth Social, 31-year-old Allen was seen wearing all black as he ran to the Washington Hilton hotel with a gun in his hand on Saturday evening.
Just moments before he ran, security guards were seen standing in the hallway, but as soon as he sped past them, they reacted and pulled out their firearms.
The clip ended with several armed guards running toward Allen before he exchanged gunfire with authorities.
Allen, a teacher from Torrance, California, was then tackled to the ground and arrested.
Just as dinner was about to begin, the Secret Service was forced to take action after a series of gunshots were heard.
The suspect is charged with two counts of using a firearm during a crime of violence and assaulting a federal officer using a dangerous weapon.
He is expected to appear in federal court on Monday.

Allen, a teacher from Torrance, California, collapsed and was arrested after walking past security with a gun in his hand.
If convicted, Allen could face up to 20 years in prison for the assault, while the weapons charges could carry a minimum of 10 years in prison and a life sentence.
Along with the images, other images showed chaos developing rapidly; One photo showed House Speaker Mike Johnson being thrown out of the venue by members of the Secret Service.
In another image, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, Cheryl Hines, were seen ducking as they ran to safety.
Right behind them were Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller and his wife, Katie Miller.
Another photo showed several Secret Service agents with guns drawn and giving orders to people.
After everyone inside, including Trump and First Lady Melania, were taken to safety, the president revealed what his wife had told him just before the shots were fired.
“It’s always shocking when something like this happens,” the President said at a White House press conference in the West Wing an hour after the violence.
“We were sitting side by side with the First Lady to my right, and I heard a noise,” Trump said, adding that they thought “it was either a tray or a bullet.”

‘I heard a noise and thought a tray had fallen on the floor,’ he said.
Trump added that Melania Trump immediately perceived the voice as a ‘bad voice’ and that it was a very traumatic experience for her.
‘Melania was very knowledgeable,’ he continued.
The president also shared his concern for his wife’s safety, given the multiple assassination attempts against her.
‘The First Lady was doing a great job. He loves his country. He knows this better than anyone. But he told me that he repeatedly said, “You work in a dangerous job.”‘
Just an hour earlier, several gunshots were heard as panicked attendees quickly ducked under tables to protect themselves.
Several journalists either sat or knelt, filming the chaos.
Meanwhile, Secret Service agents and security guards rushed into the dining room and began securing several high-ranking politicians.
Within seconds, Trump, Melania, Vice President J.D. Vance and press secretary Karoline Leavitt quickly hid under the table on stage before armed guards ushered them out.

Agents then began scanning hundreds of tables in the banquet hall to ensure the safety of Cabinet officials.
The Secret Service’s Counter Assault Team (CAT) rushed onto the stage, clad in black tactical fatigues, large rifles drawn.
‘It was a gun and some people understood that pretty quickly and some didn’t. “I was watching to see what was happening,” the president said. ‘Melania was aware of what was happening and I think she knew.’
‘Again, the performance of the Secret Service, the police and all law enforcement agencies was very good. It was very fast. There wasn’t much time to think. It took us a few seconds to get out the door and into an area.’
Other video footage showed Vance being frantically helped off the stage by Secret Service agents as Trump and Melania tried to hide.
Clips then showed several agents reaching for the President and quickly pulling him to safety.
