‘Euphoria’ costume designer embraced Sydney Sweeney nip slips with pasties

Fans were excited for Sydney Sweeney’s latest “Euphoria” episode; not just about Cassie’s walk down the aisle, but also about her racy bridal look, which she said caught viewers’ attention.
Fans watched Sweeney’s character Cassie Howard get married in the third episode of the third season. Despite Cassie’s dreams of a “chic wedding” low-cut corset dress This left little to the imagination and sparked backlash from fans online. As Cassie danced her first dance with her now-husband Nate Jacobs, played by Jacob Elordi, her pasties continued to peak out of the top of her low-cut dress.

While filming the wedding episode of the third season of “Euphoria,” it turned out that Sweeney’s extra low-cut dress was a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.
“There continued to be disruptions in Sydney,” costume designer Natasha Newman-Thomas said instyle. “So I thought: ‘Okay, we’re not going to tape it. We’ll embrace it.’ “So I thought, ‘We’re going to make custom pastries with the same hand-beaded fabric and embrace the nip because it’s so Cassie.'”
The costume designer claimed the dress fit “Cassie’s psychology” as she wanted to be a “princess” on her big day.
“And we wanted it to feel really special,” Newman-Thomas explained. “And I wanted to make the most beautiful, sexy wedding dress with a little bit of wear and tear because that’s Cassie.”

Sweeney has faced criticism every week since the series’ premiere on April 12. Sweeney’s portrayal of Cassie Howard focused largely on the character’s desire to start an OnlyFans account to pay for an extravagant wedding she was planning to throw.
“I have nothing to say to Sydney, this scene [is] actually scary,” one user wrote About the scene where Sweeney’s character poses as an “adult doll” for OnlyFans content.
Online viewers claimed the show’s creator “humiliated” Sweeney with her OnlyFans story.
One user wrote: “Sydney Sweeney literally humiliates him in season 3. I don’t understand how they can’t see that this isn’t about that, her role is basically reduced to HUMILIATING HERSELF, she won’t win an award like this.” in xbefore referencing a future scene. “They dress him like a baby, treat him like a nursing baby, for what?”
Fellow “Euphoria” star and former OnlyFans model Chloe Cherry said Sweeney’s character’s storyline was “crazy as sh*t,” considering Cassie’s privileged lifestyle.

Cherry joined the cast of Euphoria in the second season as Faye Valentine. What he thought was a small role turned into something bigger as he got more screen time in the third season. He thought he wouldn’t be able to break into Hollywood with his background on OnlyFans.
“OnlyFans and sex work have become more normalized, but that’s literally just because of capitalism and the economy getting worse,” she explained. “This has nothing to do with empowerment or power or anything. What this actually has 100% to do with is the fact that we live under capitalism and the economy sucks. That’s why people turn to it.”
