Samuel Monroe Jr., the ’90s star known for his role in “Menace II Society,” is currently on life support, his family told Fox News Digital.

“All of us at Samuel’s wife, Shawna Stewart, have been fighting for the last nine months to keep him alive due to meningitis,” Stewart began.

“About 18 months ago, Samuel was filming in Las Vegas, and unfortunately that’s where he contracted meningitis. He went to several different hospitals, where his condition was misdiagnosed over and over again, and because of this negligence, the meningitis went untreated for eight months,” he continued.
