Former Sales Engineer Under Scanner For Supplying Fakes

Hyderabad: A company that holds a registered trademark for R-Drain, a specialized high-density perforated drainage pipe used in critical infrastructure, has reported misuse of its mark. The product is an approved material for the Cascades Neopolis Project. The company filed a complaint with the Narsingi police, who filed a case.
During routine coordination with project officials, the company discovered that some pipes used in the field were falsely advertised as R-Drain products by unauthorized suppliers. Later, during the field inspection, it was determined that such materials were stocked and in use.
Their investigation revealed that the materials were allegedly supplied by Bengaluru-based firm Sankalpa Infra Solutions, whose owner was represented by Parichay EN, in collusion with a former sales engineer of the complainant company. They confirmed that the pipes were not produced by the original company and did not meet the approved specifications. Counterfeit products also feature stickers and superficial markings that mimic the brand, while genuine materials have integrated branding.
The complainant, who is the company’s regional manager, stated that the former employee, after resigning, was suspected of misusing confidential information about customers and projects and incentivizing buyers by offering lower prices while falsely guaranteeing genuine supply. The defendant also allegedly attempted to remove the materials upon detection. Further investigation is ongoing.
cengiçerla A.animal sacrifice plan stopped
The mass animal sacrifice at the Beerappa Temple in Chengicherla near Secunderabad, scheduled for April 26, was foiled after the Medipally police intervened following a complaint citing legal provisions banning such practices in public places of worship.
Police officials, after receiving information from a local activist, met the temple authorities and explained that the Telangana Prohibition of Animal and Bird Sacrifices Act, 1950, prohibits animal sacrifice in temples, religious gatherings there and on public streets. Intervention stopped the ritual before it took place.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India also forwarded the issue to the authorities. “PETA India praises the Secunderabad police, especially the station house officer of Medipally Police Station, Ch. Shankaraiah, for the steps taken to ensure that illegal sacrifice does not take place,” said Sreekutty Raje, Chief Coordinator, Atrocity Response. “All religions enjoin compassion, and choosing kindness over sacrifice is true worship of God’s creation.”
The organization’s complaint pointed to several sections of the Act that prohibit participation in, assistance with, or use of temple facilities for animal sacrifice, noting that violations are criminal offenses. He also cited provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, which stipulates that killing animals illegally may attract imprisonment, fine or both.
