Plane crashes into hangar while trying to land in South Australia

A small plane trying to land in South Australia crashed into a hangar, causing a huge fire.

The crash happened at around 2.10pm on Wednesday, when police and emergency services were called to an area near Kings Rd at Parafield Airport in Adelaide’s north.

It was stated that there were many people on the plane.

Images from the scene show a large smoke cloud in the area.

“The immediate area was evacuated to allow emergency services to attend to the incident,” police said in a statement.

“Please avoid the area if possible.”

This is the second accident to occur at Parafield Airport this year.

Student pilot Youngin Kim nose-dived onto the runway during takeoff in January, causing a fire.
