DJ Booked After Loud Wedding Music ‘Scares’ 140 Chickens to Death

sultanpur: A poultry farm owner here has alleged that as many as 140 chickens died in his farm due to loud music from the wedding procession, and police have registered a case against the DJ in this regard, officials said on Wednesday. Sabir, a resident of Dariyapur village within the limits of Baldirai police station, claimed that the incident took place on the night of April 25, when the wedding procession of Babban Vishwakarma’s daughter was passing near the poultry farm.

In his complaint, Sabir claimed that the high decibel sound coming from the DJ system during the parade caused panic among the poultry, leading to the death of 140 chickens.

“The noise was so intense that the chickens were scared and died,” the complaint said. it said.

Based on this, a case was filed against DJ operator Kavi Yadav on Tuesday night and the investigation is ongoing.

Baldirai Station House Officer Mahendra Pratap Singh said police were examining whether the DJ system was operating beyond permissible sound limits.

Experts said that high-intensity sound waves can trigger stress and heart attack in birds and animals, which can lead to death in this case.
