Police search Gold Coast property belonging to Dr Vahid Reza Adib, the partner of former premier Annastacia Palaszczuk
Police are investigating former Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s partner, Dr. He searched a property on the Gold Coast owned by Vahid Reza Adib.
Police confirmed on Thursday that a crime scene had been established at the Burleigh Heads flat as part of the ongoing investigation.
A police spokesman said: “Detectives and specialist officers attended the address in Goodwin Terrace at around 11am and inquiries continue.”
“No further information is available at this time.”
Coroners inspected Burleigh Heads’ apartment and removed items from the property, 7News reported.
Ms Palaszczuk is not believed to have any role in the investigation. No charges were made.
The former prime minister will give a speech at the Robina Library on the Gold Coast on Thursday evening as part of his book tour.
Palaszczuk recently published a memoir called The Politics of Me Being and will headline a Meet the Author event to promote her new book about her life in public office.
