Humongous petition calling for no asylum seeker benefits smashes new total | Politics | News

A petition who wanted to stop the advantages of asylum seekers has exceeded a new important sum. Online documents have collected more than 420,000 supporters from all over the country during writing. It was founded by Bob Clements: “This petition is to defend the financial and other support provided by the government to asylum seekers. This support is currently involving shelter, food, medical care (including optics and teeth) and cash support.
“This petition government is to encourage these support measures and payments to stop.” 423,520 people signed the petition during writing. It can be discussed by deputies in parliament. All campaigns with or more 100,000 are suitable for discussion in the House of Commons. The government answered Mr. Clement’s request and said it would cause more people to sleep hard.
“We are determined to fight illegal migration and end the use of shelter hotels, but there is a legal necessity to support the asylum seekers who live on the streets.
“We are grateful to everyone who has time to sign this petition.” Although the government understands the target behind the proposal, we must realize that “in most cases – people who are currently receiving this support will live on the street, including many women and children.”
“According to the latest official data, in the autumn of 2024, the roughable number of rude sleeping in England was 4,667, so if we immediately end the support given to each asylum seeker, it will increase this number in a multiple amount.
“We believe that a better approach is to continue to accelerate the processing of asylum claims, so that people who are real refugees can be accepted, rejected and removed, and in both cases we can continue to work to reduce the money spent on asylum support.”
Sir Keir Starmer, the new one of the charity leaders, comes after a migration agreement with France, “lacking transparency” and “solving the problem”.
Last week, Prime Minister and French President Emmanuel Macron announced the new immigrant return agreements, which will begin in weeks.
However, Dr. Razia Shariff, General Manager of the City Refugee Action Network (Kran), said that the PA news agency is a step in the right direction to the agreement.
Dr Shariff said: “Actually, I don’t understand how to help.
But later, the United Kingdom and French leaders, “they do not even know that the EU will confirm this” and said they have not yet solved the details.
He continued: “If you want, there is a little light in this new scheme that they will offer more secure legal ways, but it is absolutely not enough. A decrease in the ocean, isn’t it?”
