Overheight DJ vehicles stopped in U.P.’s Meerut, modified to meet Kanwar Yatra safety norms

Authorities, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, a few vehicles carrying DJs for Kanwar Yatra and exceeding the prescribed height limit were stopped by the police and were subjected to necessary changes before traveling further.

Police, Dadri Toll Temporary Police Station and Shivaya Toll Plaza in the region of Kanwar Yatra for the intensive control of vehicles carrying DJ installations.

55 DJ installation has heights ranging from 12 to 16 feet and pose a significant risk for fire lines, traffic flow and public safety.

Police immediately released instructions for the immediate change of these vehicles. In accordance with the police directives, all relevant operators made the necessary changes in DJ installations on the spot and brought them to the height standards.

Police sources said that only after these adjustments were made, vehicles were allowed to continue their journey.
