‘Burnham plans to return’ and ‘Four weeks from crunch’
Former Labor MP and cabinet minister Andy Burnham could return to Westminster “within a few weeks”, the Guardian reports. The mayor of Greater Manchester “is expected to use the byelection campaign to push for a new agenda for the government” after he was “blocked from running in February’s Gorton and Denton byelections by Labour’s ruling body”, the paper says.
