Princess Charlotte turns 11 today! Prince William and Princess Catherine’s daughter will no doubt be delighted as she celebrates her birthday with her nearest and dearest today.
The princess was born at 8.34 in the morning of May 2, 2015. The Prince and Princess of Wales, then the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, spent the first few hours of their princess’s life enjoying the moment as a family before announcing the news later the same day.

Princess Charlotte’s birth date was leaked almost by accident
Princess Charlotte’s birth was leaked almost by accident before the official announcement. This is because former royal aide Jason Knauf took a note about the princess’s arrival before it was announced to the public and lost it in the middle of London. In an interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Knauf said: “We weren’t going to announce it for another couple of hours and I had this piece of paper in my hand to write this press release. I’m still there with hundreds of journalists trying to have a game face and then I couldn’t find the piece of paper and I think I dropped it somewhere on the street. We managed to get through it but we didn’t announce it.” He continued: “But somewhere in that street there was a piece of paper that said a little princess was born, when and how much she weighed.” Luckily no one could find the piece of paper.
