Triple shot starts busy day for Robb stable at Dubbo

Local trainer Brett Robb will be well represented with the horseman saddling a number of runners at Sunday’s Dubbo meeting.
Robb finished fourth in the West Head at the TAB Speedway at Hawkesbury on Saturday and will begin his home attack on Sunday, starting in the Elders Rural Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1000m) with Corky, Prophet’s Lass and Anders Diamond.
Apprentice Izzy Neale, who claims 1.5kg, rides Corky, Jordan Quince, who claims twokg, rides Prophet’s Lass and Georgina McDonnell Anders rides Diamond.
“All three have a chance,” Robb said.
“Corky has had two starts and showed improvement when Izzy rode him at Narromine the other day and wasn’t far off when finishing fifth. “He needs to get better again in terms of experience.
“The Prophet’s Daughter is an unraced filly from Tony and Calvin McEvoy to me and has given me a trial since joining the stable to win outright at Dubbo. “She drew well and Jordan stayed loyal to her after riding her in the trial.
“And Anders Diamond is a two-year-old colt making his debut. He competes against older horses, but came third in the same event that Prophet’s Lass competed in and looks talented.”
Robb will have two runners in the Totally Workwear Super Maiden Plate (1200m) in Adamana (Clayton Gallagher) and Marinera (Neale).
“Both have been consistent acquisitions of late,” Robb said. “Adamana comes from Andrew Noblet and has shown his ability with three placings from eight starts. He’s doing well and I’m looking forward to seeing him in action.”
“And Marinera has been a starter for me since coming over from Bjorn Baker and he did well at Mudgee last month finishing both leading and second. He’s been on a roll since that run.”
McDonnell will again join Robb when racing last start winner My Kind Of Girl in the Robertsons Motorcycles Country Boosted Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400m).
“He got the line very well to win at Dubbo and is ready to perform well again after a spell,” Robb said.
