Spirit Airlines’ abrupt closure strands thousands of travelers

Within hours of Spirit Airlines’ sudden closure, thousands of flights were canceled, leaving passengers stranded mid-trip or scrambling to rebook as the airline ceased operations with little notice. Check-in counters were empty, customer service lines were unavailable, and many passengers said they received no warning from the airline before arriving at the airport. NBC News’ Kathy Park reports.
