Police continue investigation into Dawesville kebab shop brawl and attempted home burglary

Police are asking for the public’s help investigating a fight and attempted home burglary at a kebab shop in Dawesville on Friday.
At around 1.40pm, police received reports of a disturbance at a fast food kebab shop on Dandaragan Drive.
Kebab King’s CCTV footage shows several people involved in a physical fight that damaged the building.
While the group left the scene before the police arrived, there were no injuries in the incident.
Staff told 10 News Perth they “feared for their lives” as they waited more than two hours for police to arrive.
Store owner Ish Arora said he felt the police did not take his complaint seriously.
“I tried to explain to them (police) that we needed someone to be here. They came around 3.40pm,” Mr Arora said.
The kebab shop, which opened four weeks ago, had to close for three days due to damage after the incident.
At around 8.30pm the same day, police received reports of another disturbance involving a large group of people outside a house in Aldersyde Way.

Some members of the group allegedly covered their faces, broke the windows of the property, attempted to enter the house and damaged two cars parked outside.
“A 55-year-old man, who was part of the group, is alleged to have attacked a 17-year-old male occupant with a metal pole,” a WA Police spokesman said.
“The teenager suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A short time later, police were able to subdue the man until they arrived and he was taken into custody.”
The rest of the group dispersed before police arrived, but a 55-year-old man from Herron was charged with attempted aggravated burglary, aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and being armed to create fear.
He was granted bail from Mandurah Magistrates’ Court and is expected to reappear on May 22.
While investigations are ongoing, police are asking anyone with information regarding either incident to report to Crime Stoppers online here or by calling 1800 333 000.
