Young Couple Dies by Suicide in Kadapa District

KADAPA: A young couple allegedly died by suicide at separate places in Kadapa district on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Hema Sri and Yogendra Kumar Varma, natives of Chennur in Kamalapuram constituency. The two, who had known each other since school days, died within hours of each other on Monday morning, police said.

It was claimed that Yogendra Varma died at a relative’s house in Kadapa town, while Hema Sri died at her house in Chennur. Both were under 25 years of age.

Police said preliminary investigation suggested personal differences may have led to the incident, but the exact reasons have not yet been determined.

Separate cases were registered at Chennur and Kadapa II Town police stations. The bodies were transferred to RIMS hospital in Kadapa for autopsy.
