Ashley Graham turns heads with bizarre silver-dipped manicure on Met Gala 2026 red carpet

Ashley Graham stormed the 2026 Met Gala red carpet on Monday, turning heads with an unexpected detail.
The 38-year-old model wore a custom Di Petsa dress in nude tones with a metallic silver manicure by Dawn Sterling.
Graham turned heads by taking it a step further with matching spray paint covering her striking almond-shaped nails, fingers and knuckles.
Her artistic talent matched Zales’ diamond studs, rings and bands.
Di Petsa is known for creating ‘wet’ looks, clingy pieces inspired by the look of wet fabric.
The theme of this year’s Met Gala is the Art of Costume and the dress code is ‘Fashion is Art’.

With that in mind, Graham took to Instagram on Monday evening to give fans an insight into her community.
She told her 21 million followers that her low-cut dress was a ‘reimagining of the Snakeskin dress from Medusa’s Lovers collection.’
Beautiful, it’s a hand-sewn second skin shaped to my body, inspired by ‘Medusa’; He described it as ‘strong, complex and a little dangerous’. ‘The metamorphosis of the body turned into art.’
The star said that even though she’s been attending the gala for several years, she’s still excited about fashion’s biggest night.
‘Seven years of the Met Gala and I still feel that tingling feeling when I wake up in the morning,’ she wrote.
Graham enthused: ‘I still feel like a student of fashion; its history, its story, its power.
‘This is about more than just dressing. It’s about how the body as art is shaped, seen and transformed over time.
‘And the feeling a piece gives you… the confidence you step into when you wear it.’

This year’s gala was marred by controversy as Hollywood was outraged that Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos, 62, and his wife Lauren Sanchez, 56, sponsored the event.
The couple is said to have donated $10 million to the Costume Institute in exchange for being named honorary co-chairs.
They reportedly paid an eye-watering sum for the privilege of chatting with former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who has spearheaded the fundraiser since 1995.
Sources said the move tipped them in favor of Wintour, 76, who used the event to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
William Norwich, former editor of Vogue, explained to the outlet: ‘Bezos are where the American dream is right now, in terms of status, wealth and style.
‘They display conspicuous consumption’ [and] ‘They have AWOK – Anna Wintour OK.’
Last year’s Met Gala raised $31 million, the highest total in the event’s 77-year history.
